Awards and Grants
As an IRSCL member, you are eligible to be nominated for the IRSCL Award, which honours distinguished work in the field of children’s literature research published in the two (calendar) years prior to the Congress at which it is awarded. For more information see the Awards page.
IRSCL members are also eligible to apply for both research and travel grants. For more information see the Grants page.
We encourage non IRSCL members to join our academic community. IRSCL is committed to being a welcoming academic space, regardless of the academic experience or nationality of its members. IRSCL members pay discounted registration fees at IRSCL biennials and have access to a global community of scholars working in the field of Children’s Literature and Media. As an IRSCL member, you will receive 3 issues of the journal International Research in Children’s Literature (IRCL), aside from having the opportunity to participate in mentoring workshops with some of the best scholars in the field. IRSCL members continuously receive information via the society’s Listserv, which keeps them updated about current relevant events in the field. IRSCL members are also eligible for IRSCL awards, travel grants, and to occupy a position in the society’s Board. We strongly believe that all of the aforementioned elements can contribute to the professional development and career-building of its members, with the support of colleagues from all over the world.
